Veterinary Surgeon – General Practice
Location: Pulborough & Ashington
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000+ DOE (Certificates/Advanced Practitioner status considered)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
My client in West Sussex is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team, working across two nearby branch clinics.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident GP vet who enjoys building lasting client relationships and delivering high-quality first-opinion care. You'll work with a varied caseload, undertaking consultations, routine surgery and dentistry, while benefiting from the support of an experienced wider clinical team.
You'll be an all-round GP Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with sole charge and enjoys the variety that branch practice offers. We are looking for someone who combines strong clinical skills with excellent communication and a compassionate, team-focused approach.
About You
- MRCVS qualified and eligible to practise in the UK
- At least 4-5 years' UK small animal general practice experience
- Confident working in sole charge
- Experienced in routine surgical procedures and dentistry
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Passionate about providing high standards of patient care and continuing professional development
Working Pattern
- 40-hour week across four days
- 10-hour shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm
- One-hour lunch break
- Shared 1 in 6 weekend and bank holiday rota
- Two days off in lieu following any weekend worked
