Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead a dedicated nursing team within a busy, well-equipped veterinary hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys developing others, and is looking to play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive team culture.
You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and client service.
The Role
As Head RVN, you'll be responsible for supporting and leading the nursing team while remaining hands-on in a varied clinical role. You'll play an important part in mentoring colleagues, maintaining clinical standards, and creating an environment where the team can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the nursing team in the day-to-day running of the hospital.
- Assisting with consultations, surgical procedures and diagnostics.
- Overseeing inpatient care and ensuring excellent clinical standards.
- Maintaining clinical equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Mentoring and developing nurses and support staff.
- Providing outstanding client care and communication.
- Promoting a collaborative, positive working environment with patient welfare at the heart of everything you do.
About You
We're looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous leadership or Head Nurse experience who enjoys motivating others and leading by example.

- Salary of £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience.
