Veterinary Surgeon | Full-Time or Part-Time | 4-Day Week
GVC is assisting a tier 3 veterinary hospital in recruiting a confident Veterinary Surgeon. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, CO₂ laser, laparoscopic equipment, a 64-slice CT scanner, and a 1.5T MRI scanner. The location offers excellent transport links and access to both urban centres and nearby countryside.
The Role
The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time on sole charge branch work, with the option to focus exclusively on branch work with the hospital providing backup. Collaboration with the referral side of the practice ensures a varied and stimulating caseload.

Hours: Full-time (part-time considered for the right applicant)

Work pattern: 4-day week

Weekend rota: 1:8 Saturday and Sunday, or two Saturdays and one Sunday in 8 weeks

OOH contribution: Some holiday and sickness cover required
The ideal candidate will enjoy consulting, performing neutering's and small surgical procedures, and working alongside a team of experienced vets, including certificate holders and those studying towards certificates in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. The practice encourages individual progression and professional development.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: £38,000–£60,000, dependent on experience

6.6 weeks’ paid holiday, including bank holidays

£1,750 CPD allowance per annum, with one week for CPD attendance
