There is also a structured Veterinary Surgeon Skills Development Framework, with annual reviews and a clear pathway for career progression and salary development.

  • A confident and pragmatic approach to clinical decision-making
  • A genuine interest in developing your surgical skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a busy, collaborative team
  • Good communication and computer skills

The Hospital

You’ll be joining a highly collaborative and supportive hospital where teamwork, case discussion and shared learning are encouraged.

The modern hospital is well equipped with:

  • Separate dog and cat kennelling
  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound
  • Endoscopy
  • Piped gases
  • Extensive orthopaedic equipment

Salary & Benefits

  • £50,000 – £62,000 including allowances
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days
  • 5 days CPD and £1,000 annual CPD allowance
  • RCVS fees paid
  • Extensive internal CPD and development opportunities
  • Generous pension contributions, starting at 5% and rising to 10%
  • Private medical cover and 24/7 wellbeing support
  • Life assurance at 4x annual salary
