Rest Your Paws is Australia’s leading in-home palliative care and euthanasia service, providing compassionate and meaningful end-of-life experiences for pets and their families. Due to strong and growing community demand, we are seeking at least two additional Veterinarians to join our Canberra team.

About the Role:
This is a high-priority region, as our current Canberra veterinarian will soon be on maternity leave. We are looking for caring and flexible vets with weekday and/or weekend availability. Multiple shorter windows across several days per week are ideal, and full support is provided by our national team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home euthanasia services with compassion, care, and professionalism

  • Support families through end-of-life and quality-of-life conversations

  • Optional: conduct palliative care consultations for elderly or terminally ill pets

  • Maintain accurate case records and uphold Rest Your Paws’ high standards of care

  • Represent Rest Your Paws’ values within the community and local veterinary network

Requirements:

  • BVSc or equivalent with ACT veterinary registration

  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience

  • Excellent emotional intelligence and communication skills

  • Confident working independently with remote team support

  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
