Rest Your Paws is Australia’s leading in-home palliative care and euthanasia service, providing compassionate, meaningful end-of-life experiences for pets and their families. We are seeking empathetic and skilled veterinarians to join our Newcastle team to help meet the growing community demand for palliative and end-of-life care.

About the Role:
You’ll provide in-home euthanasia and palliative care consultations with the support of an experienced and compassionate team. Rest Your Paws handles all administration, scheduling, and client communication, allowing you to focus entirely on patient and family care.

This position can be structured as a full-time role (4–5 days per week including weekends) or shared among multiple veterinarians working one day per week or fortnight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home euthanasia services with professionalism, care, and compassion

  • Guide families through quality-of-life discussions and decision-making

  • Manage pain, mobility, and comfort in elderly or terminally ill pets

  • Optional: build awareness through local clinic outreach and education

  • Maintain accurate case notes and uphold Rest Your Paws’ care standards

Requirements:

  • BVSc or equivalent with full veterinary registration in NSW

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

  • High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills

  • Confident working independently while supported remotely by the team

  • Valid driver’s licence and a presentable vehicle
