Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established independent practice in North West London.
This friendly, supportive practice is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised patient care with longer consultation times, excellent client communication, and a genuine focus on animal welfare. The Practice
The practice is purpose-built and well-equipped with modern facilities, including:
- Digital dental radiography
- Dedicated dental suite
- Full IDEXX in-house laboratory
- Ultrasound
- Endoscopy and bronchoscopy
- Multiparameter monitoring
- Tonometry
- Modern theatre suite
- Four consulting rooms
- Separate cat and dog waiting areas, consulting rooms, and wards
- Dedicated quiet room for end-of-life consultations
The practice also benefits from regular support from visiting specialists in areas including cardiology, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue, and orthopaedic surgery.
The Role
- Full-time position (4–5 days per week)
- Rotating shifts of 8:00am–6:00pm and 9:00am–7:00pm
- 1 in 3 Saturdays with a day off in lieu
- No out-of-hours requirement
- 20–30 minute consultation appointments
- Protected time for client communication and case follow-up
- Scheduled surgical and procedural sessions
- Morning and afternoon ward rounds
- One-hour lunch break
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' UK small animal practice experience
- Confidence in routine surgery, medicine, and emergency cases
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach
- The ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues
