GVC are delighted to be assisting a truly independent veterinary practice in Hertfordshire, who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their established 3-vet team.

This is a practice that has been independent for over 25 years, with a loyal client base, an exceptionally supportive team and a genuine focus on providing the best possible care for patients, without the pressure of heavy targets or KPIs.

🏥 Two sites, plenty of variety

The practice operates across two sites.

One is primarily focused on vaccinations and consulting, while the other is the main clinical hub where surgical and more complex medical cases are seen.

This gives you the opportunity to build a role around the areas of veterinary medicine you genuinely enjoy — whether that’s consulting, surgery, dentistry, medical work or developing particular clinical interests.

They are open to vets with different levels of experience, but ideally you’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is confident with both first opinion consulting and routine surgery.

Most importantly, they’re looking for someone who wants to become part of a practice where they can settle in, develop their interests and genuinely feel supported.

If there’s a particular area of clinical interest you’d like to pursue, they’re very open to discussing how the role can be shaped around you.
