Lead a Veterinary Team in a Senior Leadership Role – Exeter

We’re recruiting a Clinical Director / Practice Director to lead a well-established veterinary team in Devon. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape clinical standards, team culture, and operational performance across multiple sites while delivering exceptional patient and client care.

This position is open to both experienced veterinary clinical leaders and strong operational practice managers, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to influence strategy, performance, and service development in a progressive veterinary environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple veterinary sites.
  • Lead and support veterinary and support teams to deliver excellent clinical care.
  • Drive operational efficiency and service development.
  • Manage financial performance and key business KPIs.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture and strong team engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Support professional development and mentoring within the team.

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven leadership experience within the veterinary sector.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead change, develop teams, and improve performance.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred veterinary care.

For Clinical Director Applicants

  • MRCVS qualified.
  • Experience in clinical leadership, governance, or service development.

For Practice Director Applicants

  • Experience managing veterinary practices or veterinary operations.
  • Strong background in team leadership, business performance, and client experience.
