Lead Veterinary Surgeon (Surgical Bias) – North London

Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE
Hours: 4-day week | 1 in 3 Saturdays

Are you a confident Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for surgery and leadership? I am working with a well-established small animal practice in North London that is looking to appoint a Lead Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias.

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead within a friendly and supportive team while continuing to develop your own surgical interests. You'll play a key role in mentoring two part-time Veterinary Surgeons, helping to build their confidence and surgical skills, while driving clinical standards and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The Role

• Lead and inspire the veterinary team, promoting high clinical standards and a positive team culture.
• Mentor and support two part-time Veterinary Surgeons, particularly with surgical development.
• Perform a varied surgical caseload with the opportunity to shape the surgical offering within the practice.
• Work a 4-day week with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota.
• Salary of up to £75,000, depending on experience.

Flexible Opportunity

For the right candidate, the practice is also open to discussing a surgical/floating role, allowing you to focus more heavily on surgery while providing support across multiple sites if preferred. This can be tailored to suit your experience and career aspirations.

About You

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Confident with routine surgery and keen to develop or utilise advanced surgical skills.
• Previous leadership experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Passionate about mentoring colleagues and helping a team thrive.
• A collaborative, approachable clinician who enjoys delivering outstanding patient care.
