Lead Veterinarian – Small Animal Practice | Melbourne North

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinarian to join and support a passionate small animal team located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where the successful candidate will:

• Work alongside the veterinary and nursing team providing high-quality general practice care
• Mentor and support veterinarians and nurses through knowledge sharing and clinical guidance
• Promote excellent standards of patient care and client communication
• Help shape clinic culture and contribute ideas for continued growth
• Work closely with the Practice Manager on clinic operations and performance
• Support team development through regular meetings, training and collaborative discussions

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Veterinary degree from an accredited university
• Current registration with the relevant Veterinary Board
• Minimum three years' veterinary experience
• Confidence managing all aspects of general practice
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A passion for mentoring and developing others
• A positive, proactive approach with a strong focus on teamwork
• The ability to balance clinical excellence with strong client relationships
