Lead Veterinarian – Full-Time | South Western Victoria

An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced and confident Veterinarian to step into a Lead role within a modern, community-focused small animal clinic that forms part of a respected, family-owned veterinary group.

This position is ideal for a veterinarian with 2+ years’ experience who enjoys a varied caseload including consulting, surgery, and emergency medicine, and is ready to progress into a more independent, professionally rewarding leadership role.

About the Role

  • Lead clinical operations within a busy small animal practice

  • Deliver high-quality consultations and surgical care

  • Manage cases independently from consultation through to outcome

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients

  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold best-practice standards

  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and nurses across the wider group

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in small animal practice

  • Confident in consultations, surgery, and occasional emergency presentations

  • Strong leadership capability with a calm, professional presence

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
