An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon position within a well-established small animal practice in Berkshire. This role offers the perfect balance of clinical autonomy, leadership and ongoing support, making it ideal for someone looking to progress their career.

The Role

• Permanent, full-time position
• Lead and mentor a friendly, established clinical team
• Drive clinical standards and help shape the future of the practice
• Work closely with the Practice Manager to support practice growth
• 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital
• Shared on-call rota
• Excellent opportunity to broaden clinical experience through access to advanced cases

This modern first-opinion practice is supported by a wider network of experienced clinicians and a nearby 24-hour hospital, providing access to advanced diagnostics, referral support and certificate holders across multiple disciplines.

The practice has established interests in areas including:

• Ophthalmology
• Soft tissue surgery
• Dentistry

You'll benefit from genuine clinical freedom while having the backing of an experienced regional team and collaborative network.

About You

You'll be an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who:

• Is confident with routine consultations and surgery
• Enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues
• Is looking to step into (or continue within) a leadership role
• Values high clinical standards and excellent client care
• Holds MRCVS registration
