The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Lead role within a well-established small animal practice in Bracknell.

This is ideal for a confident vet looking to take the next step into leadership while still maintaining a strong clinical caseload. You’ll be supported by a wider network of advanced services and referral-level expertise, giving you excellent case exposure and development opportunities.

The practice is well-equipped with multiple consult rooms, dedicated wards, and dental imaging, and benefits from close links to a 24-hour centre for out-of-hours care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the clinical team
  • Work closely with management to support practice performance
  • Maintain high clinical and regulatory standards
  • Support clinical handovers and continuity of care
  • Promote and share clinical best practice across the wider team

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven experience in a small animal practice
  • Confident in clinical decision-making and leadership
  • Strong communication and team engagement skills
  • Interest in developing clinical standards and team performance
  • Ophthalmology interest desirable but not essential

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £70,000 DOE
