GVC are assisting a well-equipped small animal practice in Staffordshire with the recruitment of a Lead Veterinary Surgeon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet looking to take the next step into a leadership position with genuine clinical autonomy, while benefiting from the support of an established wider veterinary network.
This role offers the chance to shape the future of the practice, build a loyal client base, and lead a friendly, experienced team in a modern, well-equipped environment.
The Role
- Full-time – 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–6:00pm
- No weekends
- No out-of-hours
- Lead and develop the practice with full clinical autonomy
- Supported by an experienced Practice Manager, RVNs, HVN, VCA and Client Care team
- Collaboration with nearby practices and referral support when required
The Practice
The practice is fully equipped with:
- Digital X-ray
- Dental X-ray
- Ultrasound
- In-house laboratory
- Access to advanced diagnostics including CT and endoscopy through the wider hospital network

We're looking for an experienced MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon who:
- Is confident with routine consultations and surgery
- Enjoys leading and mentoring a team
- Has excellent communication and client care skills
- Wants to take ownership of a practice and help it grow
- Is passionate about delivering high standards of clinical care
