GVC are assisting a well-equipped small animal practice in Staffordshire with the recruitment of a Lead Veterinary Surgeon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet looking to take the next step into a leadership position with genuine clinical autonomy, while benefiting from the support of an established wider veterinary network.

This role offers the chance to shape the future of the practice, build a loyal client base, and lead a friendly, experienced team in a modern, well-equipped environment.

The Role

• Full-time – 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am–6:00pm
• No weekends
• No out-of-hours
• Lead and develop the practice with full clinical autonomy
• Supported by an experienced Practice Manager, RVNs, HVN, VCA and Client Care team
• Collaboration with nearby practices and referral support when required

The Practice

The practice is fully equipped with:

• Digital X-ray
• Dental X-ray
• Ultrasound
• In-house laboratory
• Access to advanced diagnostics including CT and endoscopy through the wider hospital network

• Is confident with routine consultations and surgery

• Has excellent communication and client care skills
• Wants to take ownership of a practice and help it grow
• Is passionate about delivering high standards of clinical care
