Are you an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon looking for a genuinely independent practice with a varied and interesting caseload?

A fantastic opportunity has become available with a long-established independent veterinary practice in Hampshire that has been serving its local community for over 10 years. The Role

Dates:
Monday 27th July – Friday 14th August 2026

Hours:
9:00am – 6:30pm

Saturday Requirement:
Saturday 8th August – 9:00am – 12:00pm

Day Rate:
£400 – £500 per day

The Practice

This role offers exposure to a diverse caseload encompassing both small animals and exotics, making it ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys variety and is keen to utilise their exotics experience on a regular basis.

You will be working alongside another Veterinary Surgeon throughout the booking, benefiting from a supportive and collaborative environment with no sole charge responsibilities.

The practice prides itself on providing a friendly, personal service tailored to each patient and owner, whilst also championing environmental sustainability and community-focused initiatives.
 

About You

To be considered, you will:

  • Be MRCVS registered
  • Have previous experience and a genuine interest in exotics
  • Be confident managing both consultations and surgery
  • Be comfortable with emergency and urgent care cases
  • Be capable of working independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment
  • Enjoy providing high-quality patient and client care
