The Opportunity
Looking for a locum arrangement that gives you a solid block of work followed by an entire month off?
An ongoing FIFO-style locum opportunity has become available for an experienced veterinarian in Newman, regional Western Australia, commencing in September 2026.
The clinic is looking for a vet who can commit to an ongoing one month on, one month off rotation, providing consistency for the clinic while giving you plenty of time between placements.
The proposed rotation will commence with:
September 2026 | Working in Newman
October 2026 | Off
November 2026 | Working in Newman
December 2026 | Off
The alternating monthly rotation would then continue on an ongoing basis.
This is an excellent option for a veterinarian who enjoys regional work but still wants substantial time at home, travelling or pursuing other commitments between locum blocks.
The role will involve:
- Small animal general practice
- Consultations and routine surgery
- A busy and varied regional caseload
- Sole charge responsibilities
- Working independently within a regional clinic environment
