A friendly small animal clinic in Hampton, VIC is looking for a Locum Veterinary Nurse to provide some additional support to their team this week.

The clinic already has a strong team of experienced nurses in place, so they aren’t necessarily looking for someone highly experienced. This is primarily about having an extra pair of hands on deck to help ease the workload and give the existing team some much-needed support.

You don’t need to be available for all three shifts. If you can assist with even one or two of the dates, we’d still love to hear from you.

Available Shifts

• Wednesday 19 August | 10:00am – 6:30pm
• Thursday 20 August | 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday 21 August | 8:00am – 4:00pm

The Role

You’ll be assisting with general all-round veterinary nursing duties, which may include:

• General nursing and day-to-day clinic support
• Nurse consultations
• Anaesthetic monitoring
• Reception and client-facing duties
• Supporting the vets and existing nursing team as required

There is no sole charge, and you’ll be working alongside an established nursing team throughout the shifts.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has veterinary nursing experience and can comfortably assist with general nursing duties
• Is comfortable monitoring anaesthesia
• Is happy to assist with nurse consults and reception when required
• Can work well as part of a team and is happy to jump in wherever needed
• Is available for one or more of the shifts above
