A well-established small animal clinic in Joondalup is seeking an experienced, registered Cert IV Veterinary Nurse to join their 5-vet team in a receptionist-focused role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction while still utilising their veterinary nursing knowledge to support the clinical and management team.
You will always be working alongside another receptionist, ensuring a supportive and collaborative front-of-house environment.
Hours
• Monday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
• Tuesday to Thursday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
Key Responsibilities
• Answering and managing a high volume of incoming phone calls
• Booking, confirming and managing veterinary appointments
• Client call-backs and follow-ups
• Front desk reception duties, including client check-ins and processing payments
• Assisting the Practice Manager with daily administrative tasks
• Drug ordering and stock control
• Inventory management and stock rotation
• Liaising with veterinarians and nursing staff to support clinic workflow
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Handling client enquiries with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency
• Maintaining cleanliness of reception, consult rooms, lab and office areas
Essential Skills and Experience
• Registered and experienced Cert IV Veterinary Nurse
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong computer and administrative skills
• Experience using OpenVPMS is preferred but not essential
