Mixed Practice Veterinarian | Full-Time or Part-Time | North West Tasmania
A well-established and growing mixed animal veterinary practice in North West Tasmania is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join its expanding team.
This family-owned clinic offers a supportive, close-knit team environment with a strong focus on collaboration, professional development, and work-life balance. Due to increasing demand, the practice is looking to add an additional veterinarian to its existing team.
The caseload is approximately 70% small animal and 30% large animal, with a strong focus on dairy work. The clinic operates standard weekday hours with no regular weekend clinic, offering a balanced lifestyle in a region known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities.
The Role:
- Deliver high-quality care across both small and large animal cases
- Manage a varied and interesting caseload, including medicine, surgery, and preventative care
- Participate in shared after-hours on-call duties
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team of vets and nurses
- Build strong relationships with loyal and community-focused client

The clinic is well-equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical equipment, including in-house laboratory capabilities, ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental imaging, and comprehensive monitoring systems. Visiting specialists support more complex surgical cases, while large animal work is supported by fully equipped vehicles and portable ultrasound technology.
About You:
- Qualified veterinarian eligible to practice in Australia
- Experience in mixed practice preferred, though flexibility will be considered
- Confident handling both small and large animal cases
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Willingness to participate in after-hours work
