Night Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time | Dorset, England

Looking for a flexible ECC role that offers an excellent work-life balance while handling a varied and rewarding caseload? GVC is recruiting on behalf of a well-equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital in Dorset for a Part-Time Night Veterinary Surgeon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced small animal vet to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team providing emergency and critical care to a large network of local practices. You'll work alongside experienced RVNs and have access to advanced facilities, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys emergency medicine and working independently.

The Role

• Permanent, part-time position
• Average of 9.5 hours per week
• Two night shifts (Monday & Tuesday) every three weeks
• Working hours: 6:45pm – 9:00am
• Sole charge overnight, supported by an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Managing a varied emergency and inpatient caseload

About You

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Minimum of 3 years' UK small animal experience
• Confident working independently in a sole charge environment
• Previous emergency and critical care experience is highly desirable
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills
