Night Veterinary Surgeon (ECC) – West Sussex

The Role

As a Night Veterinary Surgeon, you'll manage a varied emergency and critical care caseload, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a well-equipped 24-hour hospital environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality emergency and critical care to small animal patients.
• Managing both medical and surgical emergencies.
• Performing emergency consultations and inpatient care.
• Utilising advanced diagnostic imaging and modern hospital facilities.
• Working collaboratively with referral and first opinion colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
• Delivering compassionate support to clients during emergency situations.

This position offers an exceptional work-life balance with:

• 7 nights on, 14 nights off rolling rota.
• Average 33.1 hours per week (annualised hours contract).
• 13-hour night shifts.
• Accommodation available if required.
• Based at either the Chichester or Storrington veterinary hospital.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who has:

• RCVS registration.
• Previous Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) experience.
• Confidence managing emergency medical and surgical cases.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A passion for delivering outstanding patient and client care.
