Night Veterinary Surgeon (ECC) – Cheshire

Emergency & Critical Care | 24/7 Veterinary Hospital | Full or Part Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand-new 24/7 veterinary hospital in Warrington, Cheshire, working within a dedicated Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team.

This role is ideal for vets who thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment and want to make a genuine difference by providing accessible out-of-hours veterinary care. You’ll be part of a collaborative night service fully supported by experienced first-opinion and referral teams operating during the day, ensuring excellent continuity of care and clinical support.

The Role

• Night Veterinary Surgeon position within a busy ECC and inpatient service

• Full-time and part-time positions available

• Shift pattern: 18:30 – 07:30

• Manage emergency cases, hospitalised patients, and urgent overnight care

• Work closely with day teams to ensure seamless patient handover and continuity

• Varied and rewarding caseload within a supportive clinical environment

This purpose-built state-of-the-art 24/7 hospital has been designed to deliver high-quality care across first opinion, referral, and out-of-hours services. Facilities include:

• Seven consultation rooms

• Three operating theatres

• Dedicated end-of-life suite

• Separate dog and cat wards plus isolation facilities

• Fully equipped dental and diagnostics suites

• Digital X-ray and advanced diagnostic equipment

• Modern, spacious staff areas designed to support team wellbeing

About You

• MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon

• Passion for Emergency & Critical Care veterinary medicine

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Motivated to develop ECC skills and technical capability

• Empathetic approach to both patients and clients

• Enthusiastic about contributing to a mission-driven organisation

Salary & Benefits

(FTE salary based on a 40-hour week) – £90,000
