Lead Night Veterinary Surgeon – Central London

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped 24-hour small animal hospital in Central London. This role offers the chance to deliver exceptional overnight care while leading a dedicated clinical team in a modern, supportive environment.

The Role

This permanent position follows a highly attractive rota of 7 nights on, 14 nights off, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality emergency and critical care to hospitalised patients.
• Managing consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures during overnight shifts.
• Providing clear and compassionate communication to clients.
• Creating tailored treatment plans and accurate cost estimates.
• Leading and supporting the overnight clinical team.
• Completing thorough clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care.
• Promoting clinical excellence and best practice across the hospital.

Shift Pattern:

• 7 nights on, 14 nights off
• Monday to Sunday
• 7:00pm – 9:00am
• Weekends and Bank Holidays included when they fall within the scheduled working week

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a Registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.
• Have experience working in emergency and critical care settings.
• Demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills.
• Be passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care.
