Ongoing Locum Vet – North Cambridgeshire

We’re recruiting for a friendly small animal practice in a well-connected market town location, seeking a capable locum Veterinary Surgeon from September for an ongoing booking (at least a few months). This is a great opportunity for a confident all-rounder who enjoys a steady mix of consults and routine surgery, in a supportive team where you can crack on and make a real impact.

The Role

• Start: September (ongoing for at least a few months)
• Days: 2–4 days per week (if 4 days, Monday–Thursday)
• Hours: 9:00am–6:00pm with a 30-minute lunch
• Weekends/OOH: No weekends, no on-call, no OOH
• Working style: Sole charge with excellent supoport team
• Clinical split: Mainly routine consults and routine ops (limited major surgery)

The Practice

• Support team on-site includes 1 receptionist, 1 RVN (plus locum RVN cover where required) and a practice manager
• Decent pace and caseload—busy enough to stay interesting without being chaotic
• Equipped for dentistry including dental X-ray
• A practical, down-to-earth environment best suited to someone confident managing the day independently
