The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Locum RVN to support a busy hospital environment in North West London with OOH night cover.

This role offers a varied and engaging caseload, working within a well-established night team and gaining exposure to both routine and more complex cases, including exotics.

Flexible booking options are available, with both ad hoc shifts and block bookings across April, May and June.
 

The Hospital

This role is based within a leading veterinary hospital in North West London, known for its high clinical standards and diverse caseload.

The hospital provides 24-hour care and supports a wide range of patients including companion animals, small mammals and exotics, offering an excellent environment for RVNs who enjoy working at a more advanced clinical level.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced and supportive night team, with strong clinical leadership and a collaborative approach to patient care.

The Role

As the OOH RVN, you will play a key role in the overnight care of inpatients and emergency cases.

You will be working in a sole charge RVN capacity, alongside a dedicated night Veterinary Surgeon and VCA, managing a varied caseload and ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained throughout the night.

Hours & Shift Pattern

• Night shifts: 9:00pm – 8:30am
• 1.5-hour unpaid break
• Flexible booking options: ad hoc shifts or block bookings
• Availability across April, May and June

About You

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Confident working in an OOH / hospital environment
• Comfortable in a sole charge RVN role
• Strong inpatient and emergency care skills
• Exotics experience beneficial, but not essential
