Global Veterinary Careers is partnering with a well-established 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in Poway, CA. The hospital is seeking a Full-Time Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join its dedicated after-hours critical care team. The emergency service operates year-round, providing urgent and critical medical care to dogs, cats, and exotic pets when primary care clinics are closed. You’ll work closely with experienced technicians and support staff who are committed to delivering high-quality care with compassion and professionalism.

The Role

As an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian, you will:

· Provide urgent and emergency medical care to pets presenting during overnight hours
· Triage, diagnose, and stabilize critical cases
· Perform emergency surgical procedures when needed
· Manage hospitalized patients overnight, including life-saving treatments and monitoring
· Collaborate closely with technicians and support staff
· Communicate treatment plans and updates to pet owners during stressful situations
· Maintain accurate and timely medical records

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

· DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university
· Active state veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
· DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
· Confidence and experience in emergency medicine and procedures
· Ability to work overnight Friday through Sunday shifts
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work calmly under pressure
