Schedule

  • Part-time position (approximately 2-3 days per week)
  • Relief shifts available on Saturday & Sunday
  • Weekend hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • No overnight or emergency duty

The Role

This Part-Time Associate Veterinarian role includes:

  • Performing comprehensive physical exams and medical work-ups
  • Diagnosing and treating a wide range of small animal medical conditions
  • Performing routine surgical and dental procedures
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Educating pet owners on diagnostics, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
  • Collaborating with technicians and support staff to promote workflow efficiency
  • Participating in daily case discussions and hospital rounds when scheduled
  • Supporting hospital protocols from intake through discharge

To Be Considered for This Position, You Must Have:

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Active California veterinary license in good standing

  • Strong diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental skills
  • Excellent communication and client-relation abilities
