Global Veterinary Careers is partnering with a well‑established veterinary hospital in the San Antonio, TX area that is seeking a Part-Time Hospital Veterinarian. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who values flexibility, enjoys general practice medicine, and wants to contribute to a collaborative team while working one to two days per week.
You will be matched to one or more hospital locations in Northwest San Antonio based on your interests and the needs of the team. This position allows you to maintain clinical skills, build strong patient relationships, and support a dedicated care team.

The Role
As a Part-Time Hospital Veterinarian, your responsibilities will include:
· Providing high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
· Utilizing a problem-based approach to develop complete diagnostic and treatment plans
· Performing routine surgical procedures including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental work
· Conducting routine and complex dental procedures, including extractions and oral surgery as appropriate
· Documenting all patient findings, treatments, and client interactions accurately in medical records
· Participating in case rounds and collaborating with the care team to improve patient outcomes
· Sharing knowledge and best practices with veterinary technicians and support staff

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
· Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
· Active veterinary licensure in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain prior to start)
· Current DEA license and, if applicable, Controlled Substance License in the state where the hospital is located
· USDA Category I accreditation or willingness to complete within two months of hire
· Comfortable performing anesthesia, routine surgeries, and dental procedures
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Compassionate, professional attitude and the ability to work well within a team
