Head Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time) – Independent Practice, Hertfordshire

Join a friendly and supportive independent small animal practice in the Hertfordshire area as a Head Veterinary Nurse (RVN). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse looking for a part-time, stable role with an excellent work-life balance in a welcoming team environment.

The Role

This is a part-time job share alongside the current Head Nurse, offering responsibility, clinical leadership, and hands-on nursing within a modern, well-run practice.

• Average 22 hours per week

• 2–3 set days per week (non-rotating rota)

• 1 in 4–5 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm

• No out-of-hours or on-call duties

• Protected 30-minute paid lunch breaks

• Tea and coffee break shared with the team daily

This fixed rota ensures a consistent schedule and a strong work-life balance.

Salary & Benefits

• From £30,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
