Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – South West London

An independent veterinary practice in South West London is seeking an experienced and compassionate Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join its supportive and forward-thinking team.

The Role

The practice is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consultations, diagnostics, and preventative care
  • Building long-term, meaningful relationships with clients
  • Collaborating within a team that values kindness, communication, and quality care
  • Embracing digital tools including paperless records, smart scheduling, and client apps
  • Contributing to a positive, progressive, and forward-thinking clinical culture

Working Pattern

Designed with work-life balance in mind, the role offers:

  • Part-time position – ideally 2–3 days per week (20–30 hours)
  • Monday–Friday: 9:00am–6:30pm with a protected 1-hour lunch break
  • Last consultation booked at 5:30pm to support reliable finish times
  • Saturdays: 9:00am–2:00pm on a 1 in 3 rota
  • Full day off in lieu when working a Saturday
  • No out-of-hours
  • No Sundays
  • No overnight work

Start date is flexible for the right candidate.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will be clinically confident, compassionate, and aligned with the practice’s values.

Applicants should ideally have:

  • MRCVS registration
  • At least 3 years’ experience in small animal practice
  • A confident and empathetic approach with both animals and clients
  • Experience using modern veterinary systems and technology
  • A genuine commitment to excellence, integrity, and sustainability

Visa sponsorship available.

The Team

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will join a supportive and well-balanced team consisting of:

  • Two Veterinary Surgeons
  • Two Nurses
  • One Client Care Advisor
  • One Veterinary Care Assistant

This strong clinical support network enables vets to focus on delivering excellent patient care within a calm and collaborative environment.
