Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a vet looking for a varied GP caseload, clinical independence and a collaborative working environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out consultations, examinations and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform routine GP surgery within your level of competence.
• Prescribe and dispense medication in line with legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
• Refer cases appropriately when required.
• Work collaboratively with the wider veterinary and nursing team.
• Deliver consistently high standards of patient care.

About you:

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with GP experience.
• Confident working independently/sole charge.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passionate about excellent patient care and clinical standards.

The role:

• Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
• 1:4 Saturday rotation
• 1:8 Sunday rotation
• Up to 2 bank holidays per year
• Last-resort emergency on-call responsibility after settling in
• Dedicated hospital induction and ongoing clinical support

Salary:

• £45,000–£72,000 FTE, depending on experience
