Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon – 24-Hour Hospital | UK 👨⚕️

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced small animal vet with a passion for ECC, surgery, and inpatient care.
The Role
- Part-time position (2 days per week + 1 in 4 weekends)
- Fixed working pattern:
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (consults)
- Thursday: 9:00am – 8:00pm (consults)
- 1 in 4 weekends (ECC & emergency consults only, no sole charge)
- 30-minute consultations as standard
- Varied and complex caseload across first opinion and emergency care
- Work alongside a full clinical and management team at all times
About the Practice
- RCVS-accredited 24-hour hospital and emergency service
- Provides OOH and referral support to multiple local practices
- Recently expanded facilities with access to advanced diagnostics, including CT imaging
- Strong focus on clinical excellence, case continuity, and in-house progression
- Collaborative, supportive team with certificate holders in surgery, medicine, and dentistry
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ UK small animal experience
- Confident GP vet with ECC exposure
- Strong all-rounder with solid surgical skills
- Interest in ophthalmology, dermatology, or feline medicine (desirable, not essential)
- Keen to develop clinically, with potential to build niche interests
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £36,000 per annum (£60,000 FTE), dependent on experience
- £1,000–£1,500 CPD allowance + certificate support encouraged
