A friendly and well-established small animal clinic in Stockholm is looking to welcome an experienced veterinarian on either a permanent or long-term locum basis.
The practice offers a varied first-opinion caseload and is seeking a confident clinician who enjoys managing cases independently while working collaboratively with a supportive nursing team.
The Role
This opportunity would suit a capable small animal GP veterinarian looking for a broad, rewarding caseload within a modern community-focused clinic.
Responsibilities will include:
- Small animal consultations
- Diagnostic workups and clinical decision-making
- Interpretation of laboratory and blood test results
- Preventative healthcare and medicine cases
- Sedation and anaesthetic monitoring
- Routine and minor surgical procedures
- Dentistry
- Soft tissue surgery where appropriate
- Ultrasound examinations (if experienced)
The role is primarily focused on delivering excellent first-opinion care rather than specialist referral work.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong small animal clinical experience
- Confidence working independently
- Excellent consultation and client communication skills
- Experience managing medical and surgical cases
- Competence with routine surgical procedures and dentistry
- Soft tissue surgery experience (preferred)
- Basic ultrasound skills (advantageous)
- A proactive, team-oriented approach to practice
- A commitment to high standards of patient and client care

The clinic is conveniently located close to Stockholm's public transport network and benefits from a loyal client base and supportive working atmosphere.
Facilities include:
- Dedicated surgical facilities
- Separate dental suite
- Ultrasound equipment
- Dental radiography
- In-house laboratory capabilities
- Day hospitalisation facilities
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 – 17:00
- One-hour lunch break
- No overnight hospitalisation responsibilities
