The Opportunity

This well-established charity practice in West Yorkshire is looking for a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, purpose-led team. The work is varied, fast-paced and incredibly rewarding ; with flexibility built into the rota to support a healthy work–life balance.

The Practice

This busy charity hospital provides vital veterinary care to pets whose owners may otherwise struggle to access treatment.

The team environment is collaborative and supportive, with strong emphasis on case discussion, shared learning and continuous development. You’ll be working alongside colleagues with varied clinical interests, giving you access to a broad pool of knowledge and experience when managing cases.

Facilities include:

  • Separate dog and cat kennelling

  • In-house radiography

  • Ultrasound

  • Endoscopy

  • Extensive orthopaedic equipment

The Role

As an RVN, you’ll play a key role across the hospital, including:

  • Nurse consultations

  • Inpatient care

  • Dispensing medications

  • Assisting in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery

  • Supporting colleagues and leading by example in a busy clinical environment
     

You’ll take pride in delivering high standards of nursing care, keeping pets calm and comfortable while ensuring owners are informed and supported.

This role would suit an RVN who enjoys clinical variety, thrives in a purpose-led environment, and is confident communicating with a wide range of clients and colleagues.

Work Pattern & Rota

A rota designed with work–life balance in mind:

  • Part-time: 7.5 hours per day across 4 days per week

  • Flexible working days agreed at interview

  • Weekend working around 1 in 7

  • Shared bank holiday cover (with choice where possible)

  • Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day covered on a fair rolling rota
     

Shift patterns available:

  • 8:30am – 5:00pm

  • 9:30am – 6:00pm

  • 9:45am – 6:15pm

Full-time opportunities are also available.

Salary

£26,500 – £31,500 per annum (depending on experience)
