An exciting opportunity to help launch something truly special

GVC are delighted to be assisting a luxury independent veterinary clinic with the recruitment of an experienced and passionate Practice Manager to join their brand-new clinic, opening in October in South East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced veterinary manager to join a practice from the very beginning and play a key role in shaping its culture, client experience and day-to-day operations.

The clinic has been designed to offer a premium veterinary experience, combining beautiful surroundings, innovative technology and outstanding clinical care within a genuinely people-and-animal-first environment.

The Role

As Practice Manager, you will be at the heart of the practice, working closely with the Clinical Director, Head RVN, RVNs and Veterinary Surgeons to ensure the clinic operates smoothly and delivers an exceptional experience for both clients and their pets.

You will have the opportunity to establish strong processes, develop the team and help build the practice into a leading destination for high-quality veterinary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the veterinary clinic
  • Lead, manage and support clinical and administrative teams
  • Work closely with the Clinical Director and Head RVN to optimise practice performance
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and professional standards
  • Implement and maintain efficient systems, workflows and procedures
  • Monitor financial performance and manage budgets
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, development and performance management
  • Handle client enquiries, complaints and feedback with professionalism and care
  • Manage stock levels and coordinate ordering of supplies
  • Help create an outstanding and consistent client journey
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the practice

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident leading a team, with a genuine passion for creating an exceptional veterinary experience.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Practice Manager or senior management role within a veterinary setting
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software, or the willingness to learn
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and customer service

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary around £40,000, depending on experience
  • 5-day working week initially, moving to a 4-day week
  • 25 days annual leave, plus your birthday off
  • Salary sacrifice pension
  • Beautiful, brand-new luxury veterinary clinic
  • Work alongside a highly experienced Clinical Director, Head RVN, RVNs and Veterinary Surgeons
  • A world-class team with plenty of opportunity to grow and develop
  • A secure and growing independent business
  • A genuine people and animal-first culture
  • The opportunity to help shape and build a brand-new practice from day one

Be Part of Something Special

This isn't simply an opportunity to manage an established practice — it's the chance to help build something from the ground up.

If you're an experienced veterinary manager looking for a fresh challenge within a premium, forward-thinking independent clinic, where exceptional standards, patient care and people genuinely matter, we'd love to hear from you.
