Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse – Dundee

Salary: £27,500 –£32,000 pro rata
30 hours per week | 12-month temporary contract

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy and collaborative small animal hospital in Dundee.

This is a varied nursing role, offering exposure to a broad range of medical, surgical and emergency cases. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced veterinary team, playing an important role in delivering high standards of patient and client care.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Inpatient nursing and patient monitoring.

• Theatre support and Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.

• Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.

• Supporting diagnostic imaging, including radiography.

• Pharmacy, dispensary and medication management.

• Providing care for emergency and urgent cases.

• Client education and promoting responsible pet ownership.

There will be opportunities to further develop clinical skills through practical experience, ongoing CPD and collaboration with experienced colleagues.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with active RCVS registration.

• Have experience delivering high-quality patient and client care.

• Take a practical, efficient and welfare-focused approach to nursing.

• Be confident and adaptable when working in a busy hospital environment.

• Be comfortable using clinical systems and have good computer skills.

• Enjoy working collaboratively and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

• Ideally have at least 12 months’ UK small animal practice experience.

Working Pattern

• 30 hours per week, with full-time hours potentially available for the right candidate, depending on preference and service requirements.

• 12-month temporary contract.

• Flexible working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
