Exotic Bias Vet Wanted at an RCVS Accredited 24 Hour Hospital in Essex — CT, MRI and Hydrotherapy on Site

Up to £60,000 | 4 Day Week | No Routine OOH | Visa Sponsorship

A large, purpose-built RCVS-accredited 24-hour small animal hospital in Essex, just 30 minutes by train from London, is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an exotics bias to join a large, highly skilled and genuinely multidisciplinary team.

The hospital has recently expanded its services to include MRI, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy alongside CT, rehabilitation and laser therapy. Services span first opinion small animal, outpatient emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, imaging, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and more.

The team of 14 vets includes surgical, exotic and medical certificate holders, with others working towards qualifications in surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology and medicine. The nursing team includes many Schedule 3 and imaging-trained professionals, several with postgraduate certificates, three hydrotherapists, two physiotherapists and ten client care advisers.

Four days per week, 40 hours, one in four weekends daytime only. No routine OOH with minimal on-call approximately three to four times per year. Full or part time considered, though one in four weekends is required.

Up to £60,000 FTE depending on experience. 5.6 weeks holiday rising to 6.6 weeks after two years. Generous CPD allowance with certificate funding. Paid RCVS, BVA and VDS memberships. Private health insurance. Contributory pension. In-house career development. Visa sponsorship available. Cycle to work. Staff discounts and wellbeing programmes.

UK practice experience and familiarity with UK regulations preferred.
