Registered Veterinary Nurse – Orthopaedics | East London

We’re assisting a large, modern 24-hour hospital in East London looking for a confident RVN who thrives in theatre and is keen to step into a dedicated Orthopaedic Nurse role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who feels truly at home in the surgical environment and wants to develop their skills with a busy caseload and advanced clinical facilities.

Why This Role?
You’ll join a well-established hospital with outstanding diagnostic support, including CT, a commercial lab, an experienced medical team, and surgeons routinely performing complex orthopaedic, soft tissue and minimally invasive procedures. It’s a great setting for an RVN wanting to specialise and progress.

The Role

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Approx. 1:4 weekends with TOIL
• Aligned shifts with the orthopaedic surgeon to streamline patient flow
• When orthopaedics aren’t scheduled, you’ll support wider theatre duties
• Opportunity in the new year to explore stepping into a Theatre Lead role (with enhanced salary)

This position is ideal for an RVN who loves theatre work and has a genuine interest in orthopaedics.

The Team & Support
You’ll be part of a large clinical team supported by senior theatre RVNs, deputy head nurses, a head nurse and an experienced hospital manager. The site promotes strong internal progression, with many nurses advancing to senior roles.

Location
Situated on the edge of suburban Essex with excellent Central Line connections into London.

Salary & Benefits

• £32,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
• 6.6 weeks annual leave (incl. bank holidays)
• Annual CPD budget + up to 2 days paid CPD leave
