Registered Veterinary Nurse – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Busy 24-Hour Hospital

The Role:
You’ll join a dynamic and dedicated team that supports a network of local practices with emergency and complex cases. Each day brings new challenges and variety — from nurse consultations and inpatient care to anaesthesia and surgical work — all within a well-equipped, RCVS-accredited hospital.

Facilities Include:

• Digital x-ray, ultrasound, and orthopaedic theatre

• Dedicated intensive care unit (ICU)

• Fully equipped in-house laboratory

• Nurse training centre and supportive Head Nurse team

Location:
Dartford offers the perfect blend of city access and countryside calm — only 35 minutes from Central London by train, with great links to the M25, A2, and Dartford Crossing. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional patient care and support during consultations, surgeries, and hospitalisation

• Carry out nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 procedures

• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient monitoring

• Dispense and check medications accurately

• Support your colleagues in maintaining gold-standard clinical and operational compliance

Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident in all aspects of general nursing, including inpatient care and anaesthesia

• Experience in a busy hospital or multi-vet environment preferred

• Team-focused, proactive, and passionate about high-quality veterinary care

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary – £29,000-£32,000
