Registered Veterinary Nurse – Independent Small Animal Clinic – South East London

Join a growing independent small animal clinic in South East London, where you’ll be part of a friendly, positive team delivering high-quality, personalised care.

Salary: £32,000–£37,000
Hours: 4 days per week, 9am–7pm + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm)
No out-of-hours or bank holidays
Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification


Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN to join a modern, well-equipped, and truly independent practice that has grown rapidly through its strong reputation and community-focused approach. You’ll work closely with an experienced clinical team where your voice is valued, and your ideas help shape the ongoing development of the clinic.


About the Clinic

You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of passionate veterinary professionals in a purpose-built environment designed to support excellent clinical care. Facilities include:

  • Digital X-ray & ultrasound

  • Spacious operating theatre

  • Two consult rooms + dedicated RVN consult room

  • Separate cat ward

  • In-house laboratory

  • Comfortable staff welfare area


The Role

As an RVN, you’ll take an active role in delivering high-quality first-opinion nursing care. You’ll use your full clinical skillset and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations across the practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing a warm, professional welcome to clients and pets

  • Delivering high-quality anaesthetic monitoring and peri-operative nursing care

  • Nursing and monitoring inpatients/outpatients to an excellent standard

  • Running nurse clinics (post-op checks, weight clinics, preventative care)

  • Administering medications and supporting diagnostics

  • Maintaining accurate clinical records

  • Providing compassionate, informative support to pet owners
