North London, UK – Maternity Cover Contract with a Modern, Supportive Team

GVC is supporting a modern, community-focused practice in North London seeking an experienced RVN to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. You’ll work closely with an experienced veterinary and nursing team, delivering exceptional patient care while enjoying a collaborative environment and excellent clinical standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to gain experience in a high-quality practice, develop their nursing skills further, and enjoy being part of a positive, close-knit team culture.

The Role

  • 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract
  • Deliver high standards of inpatient and surgical nursing care
  • Run nurse consults and support preventative healthcare
  • Assist with both invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • General anaesthetic monitoring and clinical record keeping
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and clinical standards throughout the practice
  • Educate and support clients on routine and specialist pet care
  • Work collaboratively with vets and fellow nurses to provide outstanding patient outcomes

What They’re Looking For

  • Qualified RVN with current registration
  • Previous veterinary nursing experience in small animal practice
  • Confident with nurse consults and GA monitoring
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative when needed
  • Comfortable working within a busy clinical environment
  • Experience using a Practice Management System preferred
