GVC are assisting an established and welcoming small animal practice in the Faringdon area who are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who enjoys variety, values a close-knit team and wants a role where you can genuinely switch off when you leave work. With no OOH and a regular day off every week, this practice offers a great balance between a rewarding nursing role and life outside work.

The Practice

This is a modern, RCVS-accredited practice with a long-standing reputation for providing compassionate care to the local community.

The team sees a wide variety of cases and has lovely, loyal clients who are happy to work cases up. The practice is well equipped with:

• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound
• In-house laboratory
• Class IV K-laser
• A range of modern clinical equipment

It is a genuinely fun place to work, with a friendly and approachable team who are always happy to lend a hand or put the kettle on! ☕

The Role

You’ll be joining an established nursing team and will have plenty of variety throughout your week.

The role is split fairly evenly between:

• Theatre and anaesthesia
• Kennels and inpatient care
• Nurse consultations
• Supporting the wider clinical team

The ideal candidate will be an experienced RVN who is confident across all areas of small animal nursing, communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively.

You’ll be joining a team that values supporting one another, sharing knowledge and making sure everyone gets through a busy day together.

Working Hours

38 hours per week over 4 days

• Monday–Friday: 8:00am–6:15pm
• 1 in 4 short Saturday mornings: 8:15am–11:30am
• Regular day off each week
• No OOH
• No on-call

And importantly, the team likes to finish on time and get home! 🙌

About You

We’re looking for an RVN who is:

• RCVS registered
• Experienced within small animal practice
• Confident across theatre, kennels and consultations
• A good communicator
• Organised and able to manage a busy workload
• A genuine team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
