’m currently working with a well-established, privately owned small animal practice in Melbourne’s inner south-east that is looking to welcome an experienced Senior Veterinary Nurse to their team.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of experienced veterinarians and nurses who pride themselves on delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service.

The clinic operates to a high clinical standard, with access to specialist referral services as well as visiting specialist surgeons and ultrasonography support. It’s a progressive environment where professional development is genuinely encouraged and supported.

About the Role

This is a full-time position where you’ll be involved across all areas of nursing, including:

• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring

• General nursing and inpatient care

• Assisting with diagnostics and laboratory testing

• Client communication and education

• Reception and administrative support when required

• Stock control and equipment maintenance

You’ll also play an important role in mentoring and supporting the nursing team, contributing to training, organisation, and maintaining a strong team culture.

About You

I’m keen to speak with nurses who:

• Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience (ideally 5+)

• Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or higher)

• Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills

• Are confident across surgical, medical and reception duties

• Thrive in a collaborative team environment

• Are motivated to continue developing their clinical skills

The clinic operates Monday to Friday 8:30am–6:00pm and Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm, with a 38-hour rostered week plus one Saturday per month.

Salary on offer: $70,000 – $80,000 + super, depending on experience.
