Position: Veterinarian – Senior or Associate (Full-Time or Part-Time)
An independent, family-owned small animal veterinary network is seeking a Senior Veterinarian or Associate Veterinarian to join its busy clinic in Pakenham.
This clinic offers a unique blend of autonomy and support — combining the structure of an established network with the flexibility to shape clinical approach and team culture at a local level. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and centred around delivering high-quality care to patients while maintaining a positive and enjoyable workplace.
About the Clinic

  • Located within a high foot-traffic retail environment, offering convenient access to pet care services
  • Open Monday to Saturday (no Sundays, no after-hours or on-call)
  • Busy and growing caseload with consistent new client demand
  • Well-established team including veterinarians, experienced management, and a fully staffed nursing team
  • Modern, spacious facility with:
    • Multiple consult rooms
    • Sterile operating theatre
    • Digital radiography and dental X-ray
    • In-house pathology capabilities
  • Regular visits from medical and surgical specialists
  • Strong referral relationships with nearby hospitals for advanced care and overnight support

The Role – Senior Veterinarian
This role is suited to a motivated and experienced veterinarian who enjoys combining clinical excellence with leadership and mentorship.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality general practice medicine, including consults, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and emergency care
  • Supporting case management and maintaining high clinical standards
  • Mentoring and guiding veterinary and nursing team members
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with clients
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative clinic culture
  • Assisting with operational aspects of the clinic, including workflow, rostering, and overall performance
