Experienced Veterinarian – Small Animal (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + super (depending on experience)

Overview
A well-established and highly regarded small animal practice in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with strong surgical and internal medicine skills who also enjoys mentoring and supporting junior vets in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity
You will be joining a progressive GP clinic with a loyal client base, modern equipment, and a supportive leadership team. The role offers a varied caseload and a high level of autonomy, with the ability to influence clinical direction, shape medical standards, and contribute to the development of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading consultations and managing both medical and surgical cases

• Performing routine and advanced soft-tissue surgeries

• Mentoring and supporting junior veterinarians and nursing staff

• Contributing to case discussions, treatment planning, and clinical reviews

• Maintaining high standards of patient care and client communication

• Supporting a positive, knowledge-sharing team culture

• Optional involvement in leadership, training initiatives, and protocol development

About You

• BVSc or equivalent, registered (or eligible for registration) in Victoria

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in small animal clinical practice

• Strong capability in soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine

• Passionate about teaching and supporting junior vets

• Confident working independently while contributing to a team environment

• Professional, proactive, and committed to high-quality veterinary care
