Veterinary Surgeon – Strong GP Skills

Salary: From £45,000-£70,000

Hours: Full-time – typically a 4-day week, 9-hour shifts, including 1 in 4 weekends; flexible working patterns considered

About the Practice:
GVC is assisting a well-established independent small animal practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with strong GP skills. The practice values clinical excellence, team collaboration, and customer-focused care, providing a supportive environment where vets can thrive.

The Role:
As a Veterinary Surgeon in this practice, you will:

• Deliver high standards of clinical care in both preventive and therapeutic services

• Treat sick and injured pets with compassion and expertise

• Participate in surgical procedures and routine consultations

• Integrate effectively with the wider clinical and non-clinical team

• Enjoy dedicated admin time built into each working day for efficient workflow

This role is ideal for candidates with 3+ years of experience who are passionate about patient care, client service, and working collaboratively.

Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible to register)

• Minimum 3 years of small animal practice experience

• Strong GP skills and confidence in routine surgical procedures

• Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues

• Team-focused, adaptable, and committed to high standards of care
