Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Full-time/Part-time, No OOHs
Location: Leicestershire (semi-rural, near city links)

GVC is recruiting a confident and motivated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a skilled, friendly, and supportive team in Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, RCVS-accredited practice providing first opinion services, supported by visiting specialists and in-house certificate holders.

Role Details:

• Permanent position, full-time (40 hrs/week); part-time considered

• Salary: £41,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

• Standard hours: 4 x 10-hour days (8:30am – 6:30pm)

• Approx. 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm) for TOIL

• 20-minute consults, no out-of-hours commitment

The successful candidate will consult, operate, and contribute to the smooth running of the practice, including repeat medications, result reporting, and client communication. They will join an established team of vets, including certificate holders, delivering first opinion care to companion animals.

Candidate Requirements:

• Personable, team-focused, with excellent time management and communication skills

• Confident managing own consult list and routine procedures such as neutering, dentals, and imaging

• Passionate about delivering high-quality client care

• Interest in soft tissue surgery or internal medicine is desirable; certificate training supported if required
