Veterinary Surgeon – Part Time | Cheshire, UK | Up to £60,000 FTE

Are you looking for a Veterinary Surgeon role in Cheshire, UK that offers genuine clinical freedom, fast decision-making, and real work-life balance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, standalone small animal practice in the beautiful market town of Alsager.

The Role

You’ll join a friendly and experienced team, working closely with the practice owner, allowing your ideas and clinical opinions to be heard and acted on quickly.

  • Deliver high-quality consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans
  • Perform routine and elective surgical procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
  • Contribute to a positive clinical culture and patient care standards

Working Pattern

This role is flexible and can be tailored to suit you:

  • Part-time (flexible on days – ideally Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–12pm)
  • No Sundays or out-of-hours

About the Practice

This is a well-equipped, standalone small animal practice with a strong community focus and a genuinely supportive team environment.

  • Modern facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab
  • Support from experienced vets and RVNs
  • Opportunity to develop skills, including exposure to exotics
  • Certified Autism Friendly practice

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Minimum 3+ years UK experience
  • Confident in both medicine and routine surgery
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
