GVC is supporting a thriving small animal hospital practice delivering 24-hour care, backed by a dedicated in-house night team that also provides out-of-hours support to nearby practices. The wider setup includes a main hospital and branch network, with strong nursing support (20+ RVNs) and a clinical team that includes multiple certificate holders across a range of disciplines. Professional development is actively encouraged, with support available for further training and postgraduate qualifications.
What You’ll Do
This role is suited to a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with who wants to keep progressing clinically in a supportive hospital environment. You’ll:
- Deliver high-quality consultations and case workups, using evidence-led decision making
- Contribute to surgery and case management appropriate to your level, with support around you
- Work collaboratively with a large team including experienced RVNs and clinical colleagues
- Participate in a learning-focused culture, including regular M&M meetings and EBVM
- Maintain excellent standards of patient and client care across a busy, well-supported service
Working pattern
- 40 hours per week
- 4-day working week
- 1 in 7 weekend rota
- 2 full days off in lieu for weekends worked
